Cafe : Vineyard Community Church


Here at the Vineyard we don't operate a formal membership of any sort. What we mean is, no-one signs on the "dotted line" in order to become a member. We see membership as a functional thing. So, if you have decided that this is the right church for you, the way you will 'function' as a member is simply to get involved. So, becoming a member of the church means becoming involved with us and what we're doing. Here are a few key pointers as to how someone can outwork their membership by getting more involved. 1. Attend gatherings We encourage people to attend as regularly as they can. Check the Calendar for any up-coming gatherings. 2. Join a Kinship Group Kinship Groups are absolutely the best place to grow in relationship with God and with others. 3. Find a place to serve We all have a roll to play! And it's important that we take the opportunity to serve and give away some of that which God has given us. 4. Give regularly The scriptures clearly teach us that Giving away a portion of our income to the church that God has called us to serve is an important part of being a disciple. and finally... 5. Get a blessing If you are moving from another church, it is VERY IMPORTANT to us that you go to the leader there and ask them to release you with their blessing.
